Fees
Session fees and ways to pay
Speech-Language and Audiology Canada’s recommended Ontario fees are $231 per hour and $194 for 45 minutes. Private therapy is expensive. Many of our services are below that recommended rate. Fees are in Canadian dollars.
Specialized services
Specialized fees apply to services that are in high demand because many paediatric speech-language pathologists do not have extra training in them. These include paediatric feeding and swallowing, AAC, paediatric dysarthria, and childhood apraxia of speech.
| Service | Fee |
|---|---|
| Initial assessment, usually 75 to 90 minutes | $231 per hour, billed in 15-minute increments |
| Treatment, 60 minutes | $220 |
| Treatment, 45 minutes | $178 |
| Treatment, 30 minutes | $145 |
Other speech-language services

| Treatment, 60 minutes | $185 |
| Treatment, 45 minutes | $158 |

| Documentation, including letters and reports | $185 per hour, billed in 15-minute increments |
From your intake form, our administration staff will estimate the cost of the initial assessment. During that visit, your clinician will talk through the cost of follow-up sessions.
Payment and cancellations
The fee is charged to the credit card on file at the end of each appointment. If the card is declined, payment is due 24 hours before the next appointment or that appointment is cancelled.
The full session fee is charged when notice is less than 24 hours, and when a client does not attend.
Funding that may help
Ontario Autism Program
OAP funding can be used for speech and language services, AAC supports, and paediatric feeding therapy. Your clinician can write tailored OAP letters for an AAC device, a case, and adaptive access methods.
Disability tax credit
The Canada Revenue Agency offers a Disability Tax Credit. We can help complete the forms. The CRA decides eligibility.
Medical expenses
Speech-language pathology assessment and treatment can be claimed as a medical expense. If you travel a long distance to the clinic, some travel costs may also qualify. Confirm the details with the CRA medical expense rules.
Insurance
Some plans cover some or all of the cost. We do not bill insurers directly. We give you a receipt to submit. Please check what your policy covers before you commit to treatment.
